"You don't get paid to be perfect, you get paid to solve problems."
This photo was taken by my former students two years ago. That was the time where I decided to move back to Ho Chi Minh City in order to pursue my passion for being an educator. ✨ Even though I haven't seen those students for almost a year, they were really kind to me and showed me around. 🥰 (visiting Landmark 81 for the first time)
This showed me that helping others is far more and bigger than just being a teacher in the classroom. I try not to see myself as a teacher, that only performs in the class in front of the students. 👨🏫 I try my best to connect with them as a "human", not as an authority that tells them what to do.
Of course, I do teach them German but I also listen to their stories, experiences, happy moments, and struggles. 😊
Every student is different and unique and even if it is not easy to do: I believe that caring about my students, will give me insight and a far better understanding of them. So hopefully, I can help them in a more efficient way based on trust and values. ❤️
It is definitely not easy and requires patience and openness, but I am willing to try harder in order to get the best results possible. 💯
