I have been living in Vietnam for around ̉6 years already and it is extremely difficult to put this experience into words.
It feels like yesterday that I made the decision to move to Vietnam in order to reconnect with my background and taste freedom again.
Who would have thought, that I would learn so much about my background and understanding my roots more clearly?
Who would have thought, that I would meet so many amazing and inspiring people along the way that would help me to become a better person?
Who would have thought, that I would end up becoming an educator, helping students to learn German?
Who would have thought, that I would hold workshops about happiness or intercultural understanding in big companies?
Who would have thought, that I would have mentees and clients that I am guiding and supporting to understand themselves better?
Time passed so quickly and I still cannot believe (and also forgot some moments of) what happened. 😩
That is why I want to start a new personal challenge to write a monthly blog as a "Son of a Viet Kieu".
This will help me to not only appreciate but also to savour the wonderful moments. It will be my personal monthly diary entry to keep myself in check, so that after 365 days, I don´t need to worry about: What happened?
I also hope that those posts will inspire you to reflect on your life and also appreciate the moment a bit more. We all are unique and leave our unique marks on this planet. Don't forget to look back and see how far you have come. I am sure, that you also have your own incredible story to tell!
Let's treasure our moments and life a purposeful life! ❤️
